504 Sqn ATC recently honoured the Ex-Serviceman of the West Indian Islands PDF Print E-mail

Members of Staff and Cadets from 504 (West Nottingham) Sqn ATC recently honoured the Ex-Serviceman
of the West Indian Islands who served during WW2.
They were also joined by Cadets from 1360 (Stapleford & Sandiacre) Sqn and 209 (West Bridgford) Sqn.

The ceremony to lay-up the standard of the West Indian Ex-Serviceman’s Association,
held at Chasewood Baptist Church, Nottingham, was attended by The Right Worshipful the
Lord Mayor of Nottingham, Councillor Gul Nawaz Khan and The Chair of Nottinghamshire County Council
The Honourable Joan Taylor.

 Cdt Flt Sgt Anton Nunnick

The standard was carried to rest by Cdt FS Anton Nunnick, with other members of the Air Training
Corps forming a guard of honour.

Led by members of staff WO Jim Dennis, Flt Sgt Steph Curtis and Sgt Eva Trelfa,  the cadets also
enjoyed the hospitality of the West Indian congregation after the ceremony.
